Professional Announcement: Vanessa Hinderliter Appointed ECMC Vice President of Finance

BUFFALO, NEW YORK—Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) Corporation officials today announced an appointment to their leadership team.

Vanessa S. Hinderliter, CPA, has been promoted to Vice President of Finance for ECMC Corporation.  With her extensive finance industry experience in healthcare finance and accounting, Vanessa will provide leadership over the daily operations of the Finance department including functions such as financial analysis, budgeting, planning, financial reporting, third party reimbursement, treasury and accounts payable.  Prior to this appointment, Vanessa served as Director of Finance for ECMC for over seven years, managing the financial reporting, accounts payable and treasury functions.

Jon Swiatkowski, ECMC Chief Financial Officer, said, “Vanessa brings a wealth of both industry and institutional experience to the position and we are excited to have her join our leadership team.  During her time here, Vanessa has been an impressive and well-liked leader in this department and we are looking forward to her continuing to add value.”

Vanessa has previously worked in healthcare financial management positions for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as Manager of Financial Reporting and at Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C., where she worked in their healthcare assurance practice focusing primarily on long-term care facilities and hospitals.

Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, and Finance from Canisius College, Buffalo, New York.

Vanessa Hinderliter is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State and a Member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).  In 2015, she was honored as a recipient of the Buffalo Business First 30 under 30 award.
