ECMC Dental Residents Conduct Dental Exams and Oral Hygiene Screening at Buffalo Bills Mini-Camp
Third year for ECMC Dental Residents participating in Bills Mini-Camp
ECMC’s Dental Residents yesterday conducted daylong dental exams and oral hygiene screening for Buffalo Bills players at the team’s training facility in Orchard Park. Each player had a dental exam and many had intraoral impressions taken to fabricate mouth guards. This marks the third consecutive year that ECMC has participated in this effort under the direction of Dr. Greg Hudecki, the Bills’ team dentist. ECMC had six dental residents and two supervising dentists participate in the activity.
Dr. Rachael Rossitto, DDS, Director, ECMC Accredited General Practice Dental Residency Program, said, “This is a great opportunity for our department and residents to get out into the community and provide our dental health care services to organizations and individuals such as the Buffalo Bills players.”
ECMC Corporation President and CEO Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., PhD, said, “ECMC is committed to providing quality health care services to the residents of Western New York and we are very pleased to partner with the Buffalo Bills to carry out this important dental care function as the team prepares for the upcoming season”
The Dental Clinic on ECMC’s Health Campus offers a full scope of general dentistry for adults and their families, including: dental exams, x-rays, dental cleanings, oral cancer screening, extractions, root canal, fillings, crowns, bridge work, partials and dentures, dental implants, and implant-retained dentures.
