ECMC commends ER Nurse Amanda Buzynski for traveling to West Africa to provide “Stop the Bleed” training

Erie County Medical Center introduced the national “Stop the Bleed” program to the Western New York community to teach how to better control a bleeding wound. Since doing so, ECMC has trained area emergency responders, as well as teachers and others who are involved with community events. ECMC emergency department nurse Amanda Buzynski recently traveled to West Africa to provide “Stop the Bleed” training in Sierra Leone. We thank Amanda for providing this much needed, lifesaving instruction in Africa.
