ECMCC Celebrates Completion of 9th Annual Summer Youth Intern Program

125 students from 50 area high schools successfully complete rigorous four-week program

The Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC) today celebrated the completion of the 9th Annual Summer Youth Intern Program. The four-week comprehensive self-development program, administered by the ECMC Foundation, included 125 students from 50 area high schools who had to meet rigorous academic criteria to be eligible to participate. Fifty percent of the participating students come from Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown’s Summer Youth Employment and Internship Program.

ECMC Celebrates a Successful 36th Annual Subaru Buffalo 4-Mile Chase

Thanks to approximately 1,200 runners and gorgeous weather, the 36th Annual Subaru Buffalo 4-Mile Chase  -- benefitting the ECMC Foundation and the Buffalo Police Athletic League – was a resounding success. Mayor Byron Brown and ECMC President & CEO Tom Quatroche, Jr. kicked off the race and welcomed the winning runners at the race’s finish line.

ECMC Mobile Mammography Unit Featured at Governor’s “Get Screened, No Excuses” Event in Buffalo

Thanks again to Governor Cuomo and Sandra Lee for including ECMC's Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU) in concluding event to final leg of a statewide motorcycle ride highlighting the Governor’s comprehensive “Get Screened, No Excuses” campaign, which marks the nation’s most aggressive effort to eliminate barriers to treatment, remove insurance hurdles and expand access to life-saving breast cancer screenings.
