Corporate Compliance

Our Mission

ECMCC has a comprehensive compliance program that reflects our mission and core values. The program demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality patient care and to acting with absolute integrity at all times. ECMCC is committed to full compliance with all federal and state health care program requirements.

Corporate Compliance

It is the policy of ECMCC to provide healthcare in a manner that complies with all applicable federal and state laws. Such compliance is critical to the ECMCC’s commitment to operating pursuant to the highest business, professional and ethical standards. To further this policy, and in compliance with Section 6032 of the Federal Deficit Reduction Act, ECMCC maintains a vigorous Compliance Program and has implemented a system-wide policy regarding the detection and prevention of fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct.

Fraud, Waste, Abuse and Misconduct Policy

ECMCC prohibits the receipt of gifts, regardless of size or value, from health care industry vendors to employees and other individuals associated with ECMCC. We also have a rigorous conflicts of interest disclosure and review process to mitigate any potential conflict of interest that may impact patient care.

Gifts & Interactions With Industry Policy

The Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health (OIG) and Human Services and the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) provide information regarding waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal and New York state health care programs. The Office for Civil Rights of the US Department of Health and Human Services (OCR) is the agency responsible for the enforcement of the HIPAA privacy and security rules.
