ECMC’s Breast Health Center provides a full continuum of care, from education and screening to reconstruction and oncology treatment in one centralized location. The service offers the Hologic Brevera Biopsy System. The Brevera stereotactic breast biopsy system is designed to provide patients a positive experience with maximized core retrieval and minimal incision size. In one trial, 92% of biopsy procedures performed with the Brevera system patients felt the biopsy experience was faster than they expected. Fast, accurate and streamlined procedures mean patients spend less time under compression.

Thoracic Oncology & Surgery

The ECMC Division of Thoracic Surgery is a highly skilled service in the Center that features many state-of-the-art cancer-related technologies, including the Ion endoluminal system, which is a robotic-assisted platform for minimally invasive biopsy in the lung that has broadened our capability at early detection and treatment of lung cancer, providing a much safer and faster way in diagnosing early-stage lung cancer.
