Our Critical Care department nursing staff consists exclusively of RNs, while our Emergency Department is made up of RNs and LPNs, with nearly 95% being RNs. Our medical and surgical areas have a 75% RN presence. We also look to use full-time nursing staff to ensure continuity of care—approximately 80% of our staff are full-time employees, though part-time and per diem positions are also available to offer flexibility.

In addition, ECMC is unique among many local hospitals in offering the Nursing Loan Repayment program, designed to assist facilities that care for the underserved population by providing loan repayment for nursing staff. Nurses who commit to two years of full-time service may qualify for 80% of payment of loan balances up to $30,000.
