Visiting Hours

In order to provide high-quality care, it is necessary to limit visitation hours and the number of people visiting. Special consideration can be made by contacting the nurse in charge in some cases, such as the day of surgery.

Visitor passes must be obtained at the Information Desk in the front of the main lobby on the ground floor. Visitation in most areas of the hospital is limited to two people per patient.

Each patient has the right to determine who may and may not visit, whether it be a spouse, domestic partner, family member, friend or other support person. ECMCC will not restrict, limit or delay visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, socioeconomic status, religion, sex, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, disability, or physical appearance.

Inpatient Visitation

Two inpatient visitors per day are permitted. The patient or their legal representative will determine the designated essential support persons who can visit the hospital.

1:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.

Critical Care Units

Two visitors at a time are permitted.

12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.

KeyBank Trauma and Emergency Department

Two support persons are permitted per patient. The support persons will be able to accompany a patient in the Emergency Department; they must remain in the patient’s treatment room for the entire visit.

At times we may need to restrict visitation to maintain an appropriate care environment for our patients.

If a patient is admitted to the hospital, their support persons may accompany them to their room during inpatient visiting hours. If they are admitted outside of visiting hours, the support persons must return during visiting hours.

Pediatric patients may have both parents as essential support persons.
