As a Level 1 Trauma Center, ECMC offers state-of-the-art technology, including:

  • American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited 128 slice- Dual Energy Computed Tomography (CT) Units
  • American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited 3Telsa (3T) wide bore Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Digital and Computed Radiography both stationary and portable units
  • Picture Archive Communication System (PACS)
  • Bariatric Capabilities for CT/ Interventional Angiography, Diagnostic / Fluoroscopy Radiology
  • Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Nuclear Medicine

Great Lakes Medical Imaging Group is the largest Radiology group in Western New York. All Radiologists are board-certified and most are fellowship trained for Imaging subspecialties to include: Neurology, Musculoskeletal, and Interventional Radiology.

Seventy (70) Radiologic Technologists are licensed by New York State and certified with their specialty are here to care for you.

All Radiology Nurses have critical care experience and work with the radiologists and Radiology Physician Assistance to deliver the highest quality care.

ECMC performs 160,000+ procedures annually—more than any other single healthcare facility in Western New York.

ECMC also has one of the most advanced and innovative Interventional Suites for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; boasting Fellowship trained Interventional Radiologists performing studies such as: TIPS procedures, Y-90, vein and uterine ablation, biopsies, drainages, line placements, and pain management just to name a few.

Two (2) Board-Certified radiation physicists  serve as safety officers, providing on-site compliance and accreditation testing for Diagnostic and Radiopharmaceutical studies.

We work with your physician, having results available nearly instantaneously through a secure website.

  • CT Imaging – 128 Dual Energy Bariatric CT
  • MRI Imaging – 3T – Wide Bore
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Bone Densitometry (DEXA scans)
  • Fluoroscopy including: Gastrointestinal/ Swallow Function tests/ Urology procedures
  • Diagnostic Radiology/ Scoliosis studies
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Ultrasound
