Yousef Soofi, MD

Biography

Dr. Yousef Soofi is the Pathology Chief of Service at ECMC. He is a career pathologist who has specialized in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and cytopathology for more than a decade. Joining ECMC in 2022, he previously served as the Director of Cytopathology at Kaleida Health Laboratories. In addition to his role with ECMC, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor (Pathology and Anatomical Services) with the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and attending pathologist for UB’s Pathologist, Inc. A graduate of Sana’a University in Sana’a (Yemen), Dr. Soofi earned the Pickren Pathology Award from Roswell Park Cancer Institute (Buffalo) in 2013m and has published research findings in nearly a dozen national and international publications.
