Joseph A. Bart, DO

Biography

An attending physician at ECMC, Dr. Joseph Bart is board certified in emergency medicine (ABEC), with specialty training in EMS and tactical medicine.

In addition to his work at ECMC, Dr. Joseph Bart serves our community and beyond through his roles related to emergency medicine and tactical medicine, including: subject matter expert and instructor for the National Center of Security and Preparedness, director of the S.M.A.R.T. Response team for Erie County, lead team physician for the Buffalo Police SWAT, and special deputy with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response team.

Dr. Joseph Bart is a member of the Tactical Emergency Medicine Section of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and Certified Medical Director through both the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP) and CONTOMS. In addition, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of emergency medicine.
