Biography

Dr. Douglas Drumsta is Chief of Service in the Department of Radiology at ECMC. He also serves as Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor for the University at Buffalo Diagnostic Radiology Department Residency Program.

Dr. Drumsta was fellowship trained in neuroradiology at Emory University and completed residencies at University of Rochester Medical Center Diagnostic Radiology Training Program and Catholic Health System Internal Medicine Training Program. Dr. Drumsta earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Drumsta’s professional affiliations include the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiological Society of North America.

An experienced researcher, Dr. Drumsta has focused on 18F-FDG PET and low grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and has presented abstracts for the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Nuclear Medicine. Other publication topics include the Imaging Manifestations of Orbital Apex Syndrome, Sensorineural Hearing Loss due to a Hemorrhagic Intraventricular Pilocytic Astrocytoma, and the Role of Multidetector CT Imaging of the Parathyroid.
