Biography

With fellowship experience in orthopedic trauma, Dr. Christopher Mutty is one of ECMC’s specialists in acute and degenerative orthopedic conditions. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, his clinical practice includes hip and knee arthroplasty, joint replacement and reconstruction, and trauma and reconstructive surgery.

A staff member of UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Dr. Christopher Mutty is also Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Prior academic roles have included Associate Program Director at the University at Buffalo and Orthopedic Trauma Instructor at Wake Forest University Health Sciences. Additionally, he advises and counsels medical students on orthopedic career exploration.

His research expertise includes improving pain management during the acute phase of orthopedic trauma care and utilization of three-dimensional imaging technology during orthopedic patient assessment and pre-operation planning.
