Biography

Dr. Brian Clemency is an attending physician specializing in emergency medicine at ECMC. He is board-certified in both emergency medicine and emergency medical services.

He has been involved in prehospital care for nearly two decades, beginning his career as a firefighter and emergency medical technician before going on to complete medical school as well as earning an MBA in health care administration simultaneously.

A clinical assistant professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Brian Clemency is a local, regional, and national leader in prehospital care, education, and research. His research focuses on all aspects of prehospital care, including confirming or refuting existing best practices.

He has received a number of awards related to both his practice and his research, including the Emergency Medicine Chairman’s “Lightning” Award, the Rural/Metro Corporation President’s Award, and being named to the Buffalo Business First Healthcare 50.
