Bethany W. Harvey, MD

Biography

Dr. Bethany Harvey treats patients with colon and rectal cancer at ECMC’s Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Harvey is currently Clinical Assistant Professor in both Surgery and Palliative Care at Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and a Clinical Consultant at Phenomic AI. As a Clinical Consultant at Jounce Therapeutics, she conceptualized and led the implementation of clinical study aimed at understanding immunological responses early in the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Dr. Harvey earned her Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery residency at the University at Buffalo. She also finished fellowships in hospice and palliative medicine at the University at Buffalo and in colorectal surgery at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Harvey has produced numerous papers and presentations covering a spectrum of topics, and she is a member of various professional organizations.
