BUFFALO, NEW YORK—Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) today has updated information regarding the bus crash patients that were transported on Friday, August 22, 2025 to ECMC from the tour bus crash scene on the New York State Thruway.

A total of 21 patients were transported to ECMC on 8/22/25.

Discharged Patients

Eleven (11) patients have been discharged from ECMC.

Inpatients

Nine (9) patients remain admitted to ECMC as inpatients in our Medical/Surgical units. All nine are listed in stable condition.

Observation Unit

One (1) patient remains in ECMC’s Observation Unit and is listed in stable condition.
