BUFFALO, NEW YORK—Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) today has updated information regarding the bus crash patients that were transported yesterday to ECMC from the crash scene on the New York State Thruway.

A total of 21 patients were transported to ECMC (Note: this information was reconciled earlier today from the previously reported 24 patients that had come to ECMC).

Discharged Patients

Seven (7) patients were discharged yesterday from ECMC’s Emergency Department.

Inpatients

Six (6) patients were admitted to ECMC where they remain. All six are listed in stable condition.

Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU)

Five (5) patients were admitted to TICU where they remain. All five are listed in stable condition.

Observation Unit

Three (3) patients were admitted to the Observation Unit. All three are listed in stable condition and two of the patients are scheduled for discharge today.
