Washington, DC-based America’s Essential Hospitals represents and advocates for over 350 of the nation’s public safety-net hospitals

BUFFALO, NEW YORK – America’s Essential Hospitals (AEH) today announced that ECMC CEO Thomas J. Quatroche Jr., PhD has begun his one-year term of the Washington, DC-based organization’s Board of Directors. Dr. Quatroche is joined on the Board by fourteen other AEH executives representing hospitals from every corner of the country.

Dr. Quatroche said, “I couldn’t think of a more important national organization to be a part of than America’s Essential Hospitals at this time.  Now, more than ever, we need effective advocacy for our safety net hospitals and health care system who are taking care of the most vulnerable among us. I am honored to serve as chair of a Board made up of healthcare leaders who have dedicated their lives to improving the health of their communities and ensuring that all Americans have access to quality care no matter their circumstance.”
