BUFFALO, NY—Andrew L. Davis, MBA, President and CEO of ECMC was presented with the Health and Humanity Award during the 90th Anniversary Generations of Justice Gala of the NAACP New York State Conference in New York City on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Held at the Bowery Savings Bank Building, the event featured a who’s who of New York City and State public and private sector leaders, including Gov. Kathy Hochul, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and New York State Attorney General Letitia James. Andy Davis was one of four honorees during the event, highlighting their professional accomplishments and contributions (https://www.naacpnys90.com/#honorees).

Andrew L. Davis, MBA said, “I accept this award with gratitude, but I also accept it with a sense of responsibility—because the work of improving health and improving humanity is never finished. The NAACP has spent 90 years reminding us that civil rights are human rights, and that equality isn’t simply an idea—it must be reflected in the opportunities people have to live, to work, to learn, and to be healthy. And that’s why I believe healthcare is such an important part of the civil rights movement. Because access to quality healthcare should never depend on your ZIP code, the color of your skin, your income, or your circumstances. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity. Every family deserves access to care. And every community deserves to have its health and well-being valued. I want to thank the New York State NAACP for this tremendous honor, my colleagues and friends who have supported me, and most importantly, my family, who has always reminded me that whatever success we achieve means very little if we don’t use it to help others.”
