William Pauly is a member of the Board of Directors of ECMC.
With a career that spans public service and education, he served thirteen two-year terms as Erie County Legislator, 14th District, concluding his most recent tenure in 2001. Prior roles include positions at Medaille College, Erie Community College, the Buffalo Public School System, and the New York State Teachers Association.
A keen participant in education, public health awareness, and policy formation, William Pauly has held board roles at a number of community-focused organizations, including President of Clean Communities of WNY and board member of the Erie County Board of Health, Alcoholism Services of Erie County, and the Erie County Mental Health Corporation.
He has received a number of awards for his service and accomplishments, including the AFL-CIO Council Government Service Award, the Carrier of the Torch award from the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers, the Action for Mental Health Community Leadership Award, and the Coordinated Care Community Leadership Award.
William Pauly also served in the United States Air Force.
