Scott Stewart, MD  |  Physician, Internal Medicine Clinic

Dr. Scott Stewart is a physician within the Division of General Internal Medicine, providing exceptional preventive care, acute care, and chronic disease management for adults across the entire spectrum of health and disease.

He also has special interest in the research of alcoholism and alcohol-related disease, conducting cutting-edge research on the assessment and treatment of patients with alcohol-related disease using brief counseling methods and medications that are appropriate for primary care practices.

As an associate professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Scott Stewart oversees students and residents in their care of patients at the Internal Medicine Center at ECMC, as well as in the care of hospitalized patients. Previously, he served as assistant professor of psychiatry and medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.
