Mr. Bylewski is currently the Director of the Department of Real Property Tax
Services for Erie County, that is chiefly tasked with real property tax
preparation and administration, tax mapping and title searching, and collection
of County taxes and foreclosure of delinquent tax liens. He previously was the
Deputy Budget Director for Erie County, assisting in the preparation, execution,
and control of the County Budget and the examination and review of the
County’s administrative organization and methods.
Mr. Bylewski previously served as Supervisor (2008-2011), Deputy Supervisor (2006-2007), and Councilman (2002-2007) in the Town of Clarence, with lengthy experience in governing the Town of over 30,000 residents and managing its budget of over $21 million. An attorney with almost 20 years of experience, Mr. Bylewski established his own successful law practice in 2007. Bylewski has been a member of many professional and community associations. He has received numerous awards for his accomplishments and service, including the Trailblazer Award from the U.S. District Court (WDNY) and the Award of Merit from the Bar Association of Erie County, which he received for “exhibiting courage, compassion and composure in the face of disaster” following the crash of Continental Flight 3407.
