Dr. Nabila Azam is a board-certified internal medicine physician with primary care as her main
career focus and interest. In addition, Dr. Azam is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Previously, Dr. Azam was a primary care physician and clinical site director at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center in Brockton, MA, where she initiated and managed a nutrition-clinical medicine integration program, led a behavioral health integration program with a focus on substance abuse screening, and supervised a clinical team of physicians, nurses, and medical assistants on the workings of the POD based on the PCMH model.
Dr. Azam has been honored with the Emerging Leader Award from Georgetown University School of Public Health. She has presented her work “Nutrition Integration/Collaboration at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center (BNHC)” at Kraft Symposium.
