Highest Quality Nursing Care

At ECMC, the primary focus of the Department of Nursing is the provision of the highest quality nursing care to patients regardless of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, disease process, or the ability to pay. We believe that a holistic approach to nursing care best serves our patients. The nursing process is utilized to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care delivered. At ECMC, we believe that the patient, family, and/or significant other(s) should be active participants in this process. We recognize the patient's need for safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. We strive to meet these needs while advocating for our patients. We believe that we have the responsibility to maintain an extraordinarily competent nursing staff. We endeavor to create an environment that supports continuing nursing education by developing and implementing programs for our staff that provide for career growth.
