ECMC’s Department of Surgery conducts four weekly surgical clinics for patients of general surgery, specialized surgery and trauma referrals.
Our surgical services offer specialty post-operative care to patients of a number of specialized surgeries, including:
- Vascular surgery (blood vessel)
- Burn treatments
- Plastic and reconstructive surgery
- Neurosurgery
A physician referral is required for all surgical services.
Thoracic Surgery Services
The Thoracic Surgery Services offer treatment to patients with medical issues that arise in the chest area, from swallowing issues to cancers involving the chest. Conditions and diseases treated within the thoracic surgery services include:
- Swallowing problems
- Esophageal diverticulum
- Myasthenia gravis
- Cancers of the chest
- Esophageal cancer
- Lung cancer
- Lymphoma
- Mesothelioma
- Hyperhidrosis
- Chest conditions
- Pericardial effusions
- Pleural effusions
- Pneumothorax
- Rib abnormalities
- Airway problems
- Emphysema
- Lung failure
- Pacemaker
