Connective Tissue (Arthritis, Gout, Etc.)

The Connective Tissue Diseases Clinic specializes in treating patients with inflammatory joint disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout and spondylitis (inflammation of the spine), or with connective tissue diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, vasculitis and myositis. An experienced staff of rheumatologists works closely with specialists in orthopaedics, rehabilitation, nephrology, hematology and neurology to ensure that patients have access to broad expertise.

Clinic is held weekly, providing evaluation and treatment for:

Patients are accepted by physician referral only. At their first appointment, new patients should bring:

  • A referral letter from your physician detailing the reason for the consultation, the evaluation that has already been performed, and the urgency of the consultation
  • Medical records from all treating physicians and/or past rheumatologist records and/or hospital discharge summaries
  • Recent laboratory results
  • Any X-rays of your joints (original films)
  • A copy of your insurance cards

Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to allow time for registration and vital signs.

If you're a current patient, you should arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment. Make sure to bring your insurance cards. You may need to complete some additional forms to allow us to bill your insurance, to review your health, and to help us know how you've been doing since your last visit.

Cancellations and Rescheduling Appointments

If you need to reschedule, please call us at (716) 898-3152 as soon as possible so that we can schedule another patient who is waiting to be seen.
