Blood (Hematology)
The division of medical oncology (tumors) and hematology (blood) offers comprehensive care in an outpatient setting for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cancer and blood diseases. The oncology division has a close working relationship with other departments such as surgery, head and neck, and GYN oncology. The hematology division provides outpatient transfusion and plasmapheresis (method of reducing blood plasma without reducing blood cells) facilities at the ECMC Corp. blood bank.
