Amputee Program
Our amputee program includes pre-prosthetic training, prosthetic prescription, and prosthetic training. The prosthetic team includes a rehabilitation medicine physician, prosthetist, and physical therapist who meet regularly to evaluate patients and make recommendations.
Community Re-Entry Skill Development
Community re-entry skill development groups are used in a team approach to help those with traumatic brain injuries develop the skills they need to return to the community. This activity-based approach provides opportunities to improve problem solving, decision making, fine/gross motor coordination, functional mobility, social skills, and self-esteem.
Driver Education Program
Our driver evaluation program determines an individual's ability to begin or resume driving, taking into consideration their physical, cognitive, or visual deficits. This evaluation consists of an in-vehicle and in-clinic evaluation performed by an occupational therapist. The therapist then makes recommendations for any vehicle adaptations and training that may be necessary.
Hand Therapy
Our occupational therapists who work in hand therapy use a combination of treatments, splinting, and patient education to address diagnoses such as fractures, tendon repairs, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthritis.
Musculoskeletal Conditions
Musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, strains, tendonitis, bursitis, weakness, and limited motion are treated in a holistic manner to ensure complete recovery. Treatment includes patient education, restoration of normal motion, muscle strengthening, and methods to decrease pain.
