Foot and Ankle Center

We’re pleased to introduce ECMC’s new Foot and Ankle Center. Your feet and ankles are highly specialized structures that need highly specialized medical care for the best and most-reliable outcomes. With a reputation for excellence and the most-advanced techniques and technology, we are uniquely qualified to help adult patients with a variety of problems, including:

• Arthritis and joint diseases
• Congenital and adult acquired deformities
• Diabetic complications
• Occupational and sports injuries
• Post-traumatic care

We’ll thoroughly evaluate you to determine whether surgical or non-surgical treatment would be best. When surgery is recommended, we’re there for you—pre- and post-operation—until you’re fully recovered. Surgical options that could help improve function include:

• Ankle arthroscopy (a minimally invasive technique used for such problems as chronic inflammation, arthritis and cartilage fracture)
• Ankle stabilization
• Cartilage regeneration
• Fusion/arthrodesis (a common technique to alleviate pain or disability in a joint)
• Osteotomy/realignment
• Skin grafting (human or synthetic skin is used to close difficult wounds)
• Tendon and ligament reconstruction
• Total ankle replacement
