ECMC Foundation Announces Nursing Professional Development Fund Recipients

$56,000 in Scholarships Awarded to aspiring ECMCC staff to establish or further careers in nursing

BUFFALO, NEW YORK – The Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC) and ECMC Foundation today awarded $56,000 in scholarships for the ECMC Foundation Nursing Professional Development Fund for ECMCC staff to establish or further careers in nursing.

The scholarship funds provide financial support for ECMCC employees who met specific guidelines to establish or further their careers in nursing. The one-time grants of $1,000 per person were awarded to 56 qualifying ECMCC employees who are pursuing their Registered Nursing (RN) degree or Registered Nurses who are pursuing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Jonathan A. Dandes, Chair, ECMC Foundation said, “ECMC Foundation is proud to provide this key support to our dedicated employees who wish to further their career in nursing. Having met the criteria of this program, we know that these worthy individuals will continue to make great contributions to the healthcare needs of our patients and strengthen the overall functions of ECMC.”
