BUFFALO, NEW YORK; November 6, 2008-Springfest, the ECMC Lifeline Foundation's premier annual black-tie gala, will be held in 2009 on Saturday, May 16, at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.
Each year, a business or community leader serves as chairperson for the foundation's largest fundraiser which raises funds to support important patient care programs at ECMC. This year, the chairperson of the event is Sterling Kozlowski, President, Western New York District, KeyBank N.A.
Sterling Kozlowski oversees Key's Community Bank franchise and is responsible for growing the client base in Retail Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking, and Commercial Banking businesses. He also partners with the sales managers of Key Community Development Bank, Key Investment Services and Key Wealth Management Group, to ensure the seamless delivery of services to clients throughout the four-county district which includes 1,000 employees, 40 branches and 50 ATMs.
Prior to his appointment at Key in June 2006, Kozlowski was senior vice president of National Small Business Banking for HSBC Bank USA, where he was responsible for sales management, strategy development and supervising a staff of 400 people. He also served as district executive and Retail Banking head for HSBC's operations in Albany and New Rochelle, N.Y. Today, Kozlowski leads Key's efforts to promote steady business growth, strengthen relationships and deliver the breadth and depth of the bank's financial services across the marketplace.
Kozlowski received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing management from Syracuse University and is a graduate of the Advanced Commercial Lending program at the University of Buffalo and the University of Virginia's Graduate School of Retail Bank Management.
Active in civic and business endeavors, Kozlowski is the first vice president of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Western New York and a board member of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership; Heritage Centers Inc.; Buffalo Zoo; Buffalo Niagara Enterprise and Mayor Byron Brown's ADVANCE Buffalo Fund. He also serves as chairman of the advisory board for the New York State Small Business Development Centers.
Kozlowski and his wife reside in Clarence Center.
Several very attractive sponsorship levels are also offered. Those individuals or organizations interested in obtaining additional information, sponsoring Springfest, and/or wishing to purchase tickets, should contact ECMC Lifeline Foundation Executive Director Gia Coone at 716-898-5800.
ECMC Lifeline Foundation, Inc. was created as a not-for-profit corporation with a mission to assist ECMC in establishing the resources needed to support the medical center's Adult Regional Trauma Center and its Culture of Care through excellence in medical and customer services. Since ECMC is now an independent Public Benefit Corporation and is no longer a part of Erie County, it seeks to receive support from the community it has helped for so long and from those who may need its services in the future.
