March 29, 2006 - The ECMC Lifeline Foundation, Inc., is the not-for-profit corporation dedicated to helping secure the resources needed for the ECMC Corporation to be the Medical Center of choice through excellence in patient care.
On behalf of the Foundation Board of Directors and professional staff, it is pleased to announce that the 2006 Springfest Dinner Gala and Live Auction will be held on Saturday Evening, May 6, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.
This year's honoree is James J. Reidy, M.D., Clinical Director, ECMC Department of Ophthalmology, Associate Professor, Director Cornea Service, Department of Ophthalmology, University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The event's Master of Ceremonies/Auctioneer is Kevin O'Connell from WGRZ TV Channel 2.
Festivities kick off with refreshments at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner, entertainment by the ‘Boys of Summer,' and a live auction featuring incredible exotic trips, paintings/photos, and an adorable puppy. One lucky winner will go home, just for being there, with an all-inclusive paid trip for two to the Westin on Maui, including airfare, a helicopter ride on the island, and more!
This is a major fund-raising event conducted for ECMC every year. Now that the Medical Center is independent from Erie County, events such as this are crucial to assure its continued delivery of top-level patient care. ECMC is the region's Level I Trauma, Rehabilitation and Burn Treatment Center. It is also the top cardiac care provider in Western New York.
Individual tickets for Springfest are $200; several very attractive sponsor levels are also available. Contact the ECMC Lifeline Foundation Director, Mark Robinson (898-5800), for additional information and to purchase tickets.
