BUFFALO, NEW YORK; January 28, 2010-The ECMC Lifeline Foundation Board recently elected Todd W. Brason as Board Chair. Brason previously served as Vice Chair of the Foundation and as a Board member. Additional officers include: Clifton M. Bergfeld, Vice-Chair; Penny J. Morgante, Vice-Chair; Robert P. Holliday, Vice-Chair; David R. DiMatteo, CPA, Treasurer; James F. Dentinger, Board Secretary; and Gia Alessandra Coone, Executive Director.
Foundation Chair Todd W. Brason is Chief Executive Officer at WILLCARE. Brason is an active member and a former Chairperson of the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (HCP), and has served as Executive Board Member of the American Association for Home Care. He is actively involved in community organizations in the Buffalo region; he has served as Chair of the Greater Buffalo Chapter of the American Red Cross, and is a member of the Buffalo State College Foundation Board. Brason is a past recipient of the Richard Z. Steinhaus Award given by HCP in recognition of outstanding contributions to the home care community. A graduate of the State University College at Buffalo, Brason lives and works in Buffalo.
Foundation Vice-Chair Clifton M. Bergfeld (Cliff) is Assistant Counsel/Practice Manager with Exigence LLC, a Williamsville based national health care management organization. Bergfeld graduated from the University at Buffalo Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree. Before returning to UB and Buffalo, he was a Financial Planner at UBS Financial Services in Chicago, Illinois. Bergfeld is a very active member of the Western New York Community. He is a Board Member of the University at Buffalo's Alumni Association and is active in the UB Blue and White Club, an Athletic Department booster organization. Bergfeld lives in the city of Buffalo.
Foundation Vice-Chair Penny Morgante is an Area Sales Manger and Vice President for First Niagara Bank. She is currently Vice Chair of Meals on Wheels for Western New York and Erie County Board of Directors. Morgante lives in Hamburg.
Foundation Vice-Chair Robert P. Holliday is the Vice President and General Manager of AT&T in Upstate New York. Holliday sits on the Board of Directors for the NYS Wireless Association (NYSWA) serving as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and co-chair of the Regulatory Committee. In 2008, Holliday was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Boys & Girls Club and is an active support of the United Way. Holliday lives in Orchard Park.
Foundation Treasurer David R. DiMatteo, CPA, is a Partner in the accounting firm Brock, Schechter & Polakoff, LLP, and is a member of the Volunteer Boy Scouts of America. DiMatteo lives in Hamburg.
Foundation Secretary James F. Dentinger is a President at McGuire Development Co., LLC. Dentinger is currently serving as Chairman of the Buffalo Urban League, Secretary for the Buffalo State College Foundation, First Vice-chair for the Renaissance Foundation and ESGR Boards and an active member of the Amherst Police and Hospice Foundations. Dentinger resides in Clarence.
