AT&T’s Robert Holliday is Chair of ECMC Lifeline Foundation Springfest gala to be
held May 1, 2010

BUFFALO, NEW YORK; February 3, 2010-Springfest, the ECMC Lifeline Foundation's premier annual black-tie gala, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the Adam's Mark Hotel.

Each year, a business or community leader serves as chairperson for the foundation's largest fundraiser which raises funds to support important patient care programs at ECMC.  This year, the chairperson of the event is Robert Holliday, Vice President/General manger, AT&T - Upstate New York District.  As Vice President and General Manager of AT&T in Upstate New York, Holliday is responsible for all aspects of the company's wireless sales and operations in the 50 counties to the north of Putnam, Orange and Sullivan counties within New York State as well as several counties in northeastern Pennsylvania, with a territory covering more than 6.9 million people.  A 25-year industry veteran, Holliday joined the company in 1991 and has held various Sales and Operations leadership positions in Chicago, San Diego, Dallas, New York City, Philadelphia and New Jersey.

A vocal advocate for local business and innovation, Holliday sits on the Board of Directors for the New York State Wireless Association (NYSWA) where he serves as Treasurer as well as co-chair of the Regulatory Committee.  In 2008, he was also elected to a two-year term as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York.

Holliday has a strong dedication to the community and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo Board of Directors and was recently awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award presented by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation for his work with the Club.  Holliday also serves on the Board of Directors of the ECMC Lifeline Foundation and on the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Urban League.  He is an active supporter of the United Way and, as an Eagle Scout himself, of the Boy Scouts of America.  Holliday resides in Orchard Park.

Several very attractive Springfest event sponsorship levels are offered.  Those individuals or organizations interested in obtaining additional information, sponsoring Springfest, and/or wishing to purchase tickets, should contact ECMC Lifeline Foundation Executive Director Gia Coone at 716-898-5800.

ECMC Lifeline Foundation, Inc. was created as a not-for-profit corporation with a mission to assist ECMC in establishing the resources needed to support the medical center's Adult Regional Trauma Center and its Culture of Care through excellence in medical and customer services.  Since ECMC is now an independent Public Benefit Corporation and is no longer a part of Erie County, it seeks to receive support from the community it has helped for so long and from those who may need its services in the future.
